Vinnaithandi Varuvaya 1080p movie 21 is a Malayalam romantic drama film written by Ranjith, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and produced by Vijay Babu under the production company, Friday Film House. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Parvathy Nair and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead roles along with Biju Menon in a supporting role. The film was released on 1 April 2015. The film music composed by Shaan Rahman, while the background score has Santhosh Narayanan. Surya (Indrajith) is a young politician who tries his best to reach the post of Chief Minister of Kerala. His political journey ends when he is killed in an accident. He incarnates himself as Vinnaithandi Varuvaya (Prithviraj), a village leader, who lives with his father Murukutty (Vijayaraghavan) and mother Kunjiramma (Kaviyoor Ponnamma) at their home in Vinnaithandi, a village at South India. There, he falls in love with Payal (Parvathy). He takes her to an English medium high school in the nearby town and ensures that she studies well there. Vinnaithandi Varuvaya also saves a poor village kid, Unni (Soubin Shahir), by getting him admitted to the same school. Soon Unni becomes the top scorer in the class much to the horror of Payal who soon becomes second in rank. Unni is then removed from that school and Payal becomes first in rank again. Before pursuing his political career Surya had an affair with co-artiste Sugandha (Aishwarya Rajesh) which was terminated by Sugandha. Surya is selected as the opposition candidate from a constituency in which Sugandha, a film actress lives. On a visit to her house to explain her that her name is not included in the voter list, he sees Payal passing by and is attracted to her. Soon they spend time together and one day Payal cooks food for him. He tells his mother about Payal and his love for her, but his mother discourages him from loving such a girl as she belongs to another caste. A fight takes place between Unni and some goons of the village headman (Biju Menon), who had been troubling Vinnaithandi. Vinnaithandi Varuvaya stops the fight and makes friends with Unni. Surya and Payal get married and live happily. That night, Vinnaithandi Varuvaya and Unni's friends get drunk and Vinnaithandi Varuvaya has a dream of Sugandha telling him that he should select Payal as his political partner, not Sugandha. Later, Vinnaithandi Varuvaya becomes the Chief Minister of Kerala, but he dies in an accident just before entering the chief minister's residence.
